Capt. Joe Crook

Captain Joe Crook has been fishing the shallow waters around Boca Grande, Florida for more than 25 years.

Originally from Pensacola Florida, Capt. Joe relocated to this area in 1984 to become the first State Park Manager of Cayo Costa State Park. From there he moved to Boca Grande to manage the C.S.X. Fishing Lodge for several years.

A USCG licensed captain for the last 25 years, he now runs fishing charters year round from Boca Grande Marina.
Capt. Joe's office is the 24 foot Avenger, Jennifer K., a shallow draft vessel with plenty of freeboard, comfortably accommodating up to 4 anglers.

We will fish the shallow grass flats, oyster bars, channels and mangrove shorelines of the Charlotte Harbor area. The species we target depends on the seasons and include tarpon, snook, redfish, trout, mackerel, flounder, snapper, grouper and many others. Most of our fishing is done with light tackle and live bait.

Capt. Joe is patient with novice anglers and children, and always welcomes family and corporate groups.
